So, I am ready to upgrade to something high end, something that will blow me away. I'd stick to name brands just to be safe (sony, onkyo, yamaha, you get the idea). Why don't you try finding some Sony or Onkyos HTiB if you are limited budget wise.If anything, cruise your local classifieds (like craigslist) and get maybe a 2-3 year old system that someone is selling. Just my 2 cents and I could be way off-base here.
